Q: How does GEN i1 work?
A: The GEN i1 putting ball and club sensor work together to give you the cause and effect of your putt. You will see your ball speed, total distance, skip/skid, club face angle, stroke length, and stroke tempo. Just connect the ball and putter sensor to your mobile app via Bluetooth.
The Ball has an arrow on the top that needs to be aligned to target when you are using it and the putter sensor screws right into the top that needs to be aligned to target when you are using it and the putter sensor screws right into the top of your putter. You must connect your putter sensor before connecting your ball. Once connected, click "Start Putting" and you are ready to use your GEN i1.
Q: what makes the gen i1 better than other putting training aids?
A: The GEN i1 system gives you live feedback about what your club and ball are doing. No system has a sensor embedded inside the golf ball, so they are not able to give you accurate information about its speed, distance or skid skip.
Q: do i need to pair my sensor each time i use the app?
A: Yes, the sensor will automatically pair once you click the "Connect Devices" tab of your app, unless your Bluetooth is turned off or your club sensor needs to be recharged. Don't forget that you need to connect your club sensor before your ball sensor can be connected and you must use them both together to get the most accurate information.
Q: Do I need to charge my sensors?
A: Yes, you need to charge the club sensor, in your GEN i1 kit, you will receive a microUSB charger for it. The ball sensor will die, as golf balls notoriously do get dingy. There is no way to recharge the ball, but the battery life will last more than 5,000 putts.
Q: Will the GEN i1 putter sensor fit in any putter?
A: Yes, the GEN i1 putter sensor will fit in any putter grip. If you have issues fitting the putter sensor into your grip, contact us! WE have a special cap that can slide onto the end of any putter to keep your sensor in tightly and securely.
Q: Do I need to have a phone or a tablet to view my game data?
A: Yes, there is a free downloadable app that will track your putting statistics and data. The app also stores all this information so you can later go back and review it.
Q: Which devices are the GEN i1 app compatible with?
A: The GEN i1 app is compatible with any IOS or Android device. Be sure that the operating systems on these devices are high enough to run our app (Android 4.3 and IOS 8)
Q: How much does the GEN i1 putter sensor and sensor ball weigh?
A: The putter sensor weighs approximately 4 grams. The ball weighs the USGA regulated golf ball weight of 45.5 grams.
Q: Can you calibrate the ball sensor to target?
A: Yes, and you need to! Just aim the arrow on the top of your golf ball to your target and you are ready to play with the GEN i1!
Q: Is the battery rechargeable? What is the battery life?
A: For the club sensor, the battery is rechargeable and the battery life should last you 6 hours of continuous use or 1 month of an hour + use a week. The ball sensor is not rechargeable. This battery will last you about 5,000 putts.
Q: Will I ever have to replace the batters in these sensors?
A: For the putter sensor, no. Just recharge using the microusb charger as soon as it dies. For the ball, no. Just send us an email saying that your ball is dead and we will send you a new ball at a discounted price!
Q: Do you have any patents?
A: Yes, we have patents pending on both of our sensors.
Q: What is the return policy for the GEN i1?
A: We have a 30 day return policy.
Q: How does the Duotrac work?
A: DuoTrac Golf's club and body sensors analyze the golfer' club face angle at the top of the swing, down swing, and at impact. The weigh shift, or what we call hip sway, is equally important to be able to help you minimiz an "over the top" or "casting" motion in your swing which reduces power and accuracy (one club sensor and a pair of hip sensors). Incorporating the measurement of additional reference points gives a complete statistical snapshot of your full swing and hip sway. It's the sum of that data run through our analytics model that computes where the swing is off and how to correct it, with built in drills that will hep you improve.
DuoTrac club sensors should be place at the tip of the grip of the club, the two hip sensors placed on both sides of your waist. Note, the sensor marked "B" should be placed on your dominant hand hip (right side for right handed players and vice versa for left). The DuoTrac app is currently available for IOS and Android users. The app can be used on your phone or tablet.
Q: What makes DuoTrac better than other golf swing analyzers?
A: DuoTrac through its 3-sensor system additionally tracks both the club and the body motion. By incorporating hip sway, DuoTrac shows you how to properly transition and laterally shift your hips towrad the target line right through impact.
Q: Do I need to pair my sensors each time I play?
A: Yes, the sensors will automatically pair once you click the practice and connect button unless your bluetooth is turned off or the sensors need to be recharged. Don't forget to activate your sensors by lightly shaking them. The flashing green lights on your sensors will indicate that they are ready to connect!
Q; Do I need to charge my sensors one-by-one?
A: No, the USB multi-port charging station included with every DuoTrac kit allows you to charge all sensors at the same time. The sensors will also all connect at the same time to be connected to the app.
Q: Will the sensors fit on my clubs?
A: Yes, DuoTrac comfortably fits at the grip and on both sides of your hips.
Q: How secure is DuoTrac when attached to my club?
A: If you secure it properly as instructed, it should not come off with normal swings. Any large vibrations or extreme mi-hits might loosen the sensor, but should be checked to make sure everything is secured before your next swing. If readings seem to be off, please check the sensor to make sure it is properly positioned (charge port facing away from your body at a 1 o'clock angle).
Q: Will DuoTrac measure club head speed?
A: yes, if you have the most up to date version of the app, you will see that you now have a metric for club head speed.

Q: Can I view my data on your web app page?
A: We currently do not have a web app page, but are plugging away at getting one developed. You can review your data inside the app through the "performance" tab.
